I become more and more frustrated with the latest Outlook for Mac. I can't remember any Windows Outlook version that was as buggy as this 'final' release.
How to view or show multiple calendar months in Outlook Date Navigator? By default, Outlook only shows one month calendar in the Date Navigator of To-Do Bar. For many Outlook users, they prefer to show more months in the Date Navigator for easily managing their jobs. The following tutorial will help you view more months in Date Navigator. Create a calendar by using a template. 2010 Excel 2007 Excel 2016 for Mac Excel for Mac 2011 Excel Online More. When you're finished, print it out.
I would love to hear some feedback if it is only me who experiences these bugs. I connect to an on-premise Exchange 2013CU9 with multiple Macs (all on Yosemite) Timezone = CET - Calendar Month view: Some (not all) Birthdays are displayed one day too late and spread over two days. These are single day All Day events. These events show up correct in week view - Not all contacts are being synched. In People tab I miss about 10 contacts out of 350. I don't see anything specific that prevents these contacts from being synched - The reading pane size is not being remembered. Every time I change to a different inbox folder and back, the width of the reading pane is set back to its default - From time to time, Outlook disconnects from the Exchange server and I have to provide the account password again.

If I make any changes in Outlook (eg. Move or delete an email, add an event, etc.) it takes up to two minutes until this is being synched back to the exchange server. This is very annoying (produces conflicts) in cases where multiple people work on the same exchange account/folder These are just the major things I have to fight with every day - there are a lot of little glitches I don't bother too much about. Not a bug but some design issue that I hate big time: I have about 30 categories and five calendars in my account. Every time i select any calendar event the corresponding calendar is expanded to show me all categories. Then I have to collapse it again in order to just see the five calendars (left pane) And of course none of these issues exist on Outlook 2013 or on OWA.
Yes, I'm suffering from all of these issues as well. In addition, I've found that whenever I try to add an image to a Calendar appointment I'm in the process of preparing, it just won't load. I've tried all sorts of image formats, copying / pasting or by right-clicking anywhere in the text field and selecting 'Import Image'. This is really frustrating, especially since I can't go back to Outlook 2011. All my personal folders have been saved to a Container and I don't see how I can transfer them to the previous Outlook library.
I suppose I could try to copy each folder On My Computer to the Exchange In Box and then download them from there, but I haven't tried that yet since I'm afraid of losing all these important mails / attachments. Without an export function (which of course the Windows version offers) there's no easy way to transition from Outlook 2016 to any other version, Windows or Mac. How about missing features? That's also a real embarrasment There are numerous features missing in this product.
It's basically an Outlook Lite compared with the robust Outlook 2013 for Windows. I doubt if many of missing features can be attributed to sandboxing, as has been suggested. That sounds like an excuse for lack or resources and perhaps not allowing parity with Outlook on the PC for competitive reasons. Many of the missing features are already included in the 2016 Mac Version of Word and are have not been replicated in Outlook. In contrast, these features, by and large, are common to both Outlook and Word on Office 2013. These include (and I will be opening a separate thread for these). No format painter.
Use different spell checker than word. Cannot set auto-spellcheck as option. No quick access toolbar. No way to modify ribbon.
No ability to enter lines feed (within for example bulletted items. No way to change paragraph spacing within a bulleted list. No paragraph button to see how wysiwg is being affected.
Horrible placement of Search box. This emulates the native Mail app and represents a race to the bottom as far as this feature is concerned. Cannot insert image. Cannot insert table or manipulate one that comes in thru the HTML tranfer from Word which is a kluge.
This is a huge omission. No send later feature. No send email again feature. No shortcut for changing indents of sub-bullets or sub-numbered list items Using a VM is not a great option. Outlook typically runs slower, even on a fast machine, Windows are harder and slower to resize etc.
If was grading these products or a curve, I would give an 'A' to MS Outlook 2013 on the PC and a 'D' to this effort on the Mac 2016 Office platform It is hoped MS will rectity these omissions, but I am not holding my breath. MS has better things to do like make great mobile phones.
This is my bug status with the currently latest Outlook 15.13.1: - Calendar month view: I still have single-day/all-day events being displayed one day late and spread over two days. Changes made in Outlook (eg. Move an email from the inbox into sub-folder) takes up to two minutes until it is synched to Exchange.
Some contacts are not being synched. FYI: I cleared the cache for the calendar/contacts/inbox and of course everything is correct in OWA and Outlook 2013. At least for me a product that I paid for remains mainly useless. I rely on a correct calendar and being able to have all contacts visible when I write emails. So frustrating! My bug list for outlook 15.13.1 (Mac OS 10.10.4):.
Reading pane gets 'stuck' on one email and does not update when other emails are selected.necessitates quitting outlook and restarting the app. Some appointments not honoring timezone and show up numerically as UTC but OS timezone and OUTLOOKPREFERENCESCALENDARTIMEZONE also set to UTC. Appointments show up correctly graphically in calendar view but reflect different numerical time values. I have a very high end Mac with SSD, lots of ram and only use if for productivity apps (no high drain gaming/media etc applications). O365 takes about 20-25 seconds to launch each app.
Office 11 was like 'blink' and open.??? Everyone on this Thread. You have two Options:. First go to the Smiley Face button on the Ribbon in Outlook Type in all your bug reports and complaints. Tick checkbox beside of Send email address Send email address. (you'll likely not receive any feedback, But will lend extra seriousness to your request.) Type in your email address. The second is to visit this site: The site seems to be a direct feedback link to Microsoft developers and appears to be sanctioned by Microsoft. Sign in (it's Free).
Then add your complaints as a Bug or suggestion Then you can read previous Bugs and or suggestions Vote on Them. Comment on them (good, bad or indifferent). My suggestion is to do Both the more you can get the word out the more likely action wlll happen.
